Safe Marketing

15 May, 2025

It’s easy to get into a routine with marketing activities, especially on social media.

To post on a Tuesday lunchtime because that’s what you’ve done for the past couple of years; to get stuck in on social media with #MondayMotivation or #ThrowbackThursday or even #WeekendWonders

It’s easy, and it’s safe. It’s another thing off the To Do list.

But let’s face it. It’s tedious.

It’s not only tedious for you to have to do it; it can be even more mind-numbingly boring for the people seeing it.

You scrabble for ideas and end up sharing something half-baked. And, when you are being told to post every day and be authentic, ‘because that’s what you have to do to build a brand’ – what the flipping flip is that about?

Personally, I am authentically a different version of myself on social media, compared to being with clients face-to-face, compared to being with my children or down the pub with some old mates from school. I’d suggest we all are.

But, you know those times when you see some amazing marketing and think to yourself how clever it is?

Why not do that instead?
